UNHCR (United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees) funded project:

“Cross Border cooperation between Zakarpattya Region, Hungary, Slovakia organizations involved in refugee protection”.

Background Information: With so many migrants crossing the Zakarpattia region it became a difficult task for authorities to distinguish between refugees and migrants. It was therefore important to travel to all these places and evaluate the situation.

Cross Border Cooperation project: Involved visiting border crossings, monitoring the conditions of detained people (migrants, asylum seekers and refugees). Filling in re-admission forms for people who have been returned to Ukraine from the neighboring countries of Poland, Slovakia and Hungary.
