Caritas-Austria funded project:

“Establishment of Migration Management system in Zakarpattia Ukraine”

Background Information:

With large numbers of migrants crossing through the Zakarpattia region, it was widely seen that the state systems dealing with migration needed to be assisted so that the situation for the individual people could be improved.

Migration Management System: Part of the migration management system was to provide humanitarian assistance and to guarantee the human rights of migrants in the Chop and Pavshino detention centre's as well as the dormitory for women and children in Mukachevo. Another objective was for Caritas and NEEKA to share their experiences and come up with improved methods for assisting people in these locations. Joint training seminars were held with the two organisations
